Description
Requirements: Minimum age 10 years, one parent present
The course consists of a theory part combined with application exercises in confined water (e.g. pool) to understand and learn the basic principles, e.g. the construction and use of your own diving equipment. When you feel completely comfortable and safe, 4 open water dives follow. As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, you can dive worldwide with a buddy or in a diving group to a maximum depth of 18 meters. If you are a minor, you can enroll in the PADI Junior Open Water Diver course. A 10-11 year old diver is only allowed to dive with a professionally trained PADI Instructor to a maximum depth of 12m, while a 12-14 year old diver is qualified to dive with a PADI Instructor to a maximum depth of 18m to dive.
